Our Impact
Elevating awareness, inclusion, and trust in sickle cell research.
Featured Engagement: The ROBIN Study
Accelerating community participation through trusted engagement.
In June 2025, MTS Research Solutions partnered with Sanguina, Inc. to support community engagement for the ROBIN Study—an innovative research initiative evaluating the use of a smartphone-based application to monitor hemoglobin levels for individuals living with sickle cell disease.
The study required meaningful outreach within the sickle cell community to ensure patients understood the purpose, technology, and potential value of participation.
Through our trusted community relationships and culturally competent engagement approach, MTS Research Solutions supported patient education and study participation efforts across our national network.

Why This Matters
Many clinical studies struggle to reach patients living with rare or historically underserved conditions.
This collaboration demonstrated that when research partners engage communities with respect, clarity, and cultural competence, participation barriers can be significantly reduced.
The ROBIN Study represents an example of how ethical engagement and community trust can accelerate scientific progress while maintaining dignity for the individuals and families at the center of the research.
